Job Details: Job Details: The Lead Member Service Representative's primary duties include, but are not limited to, providing oversight and assistance to Member Service Representatives. The Lead will float and assist with streamlining and resolving the day-to-day work flow of the members representative team. Provides information, guidance, interpretation, and education about benefit offerings, claims payment, and company policies, procedures, and practices. Provides professional and efficient member service via the telephone, assisting members with general information regarding their accounts, plans policies and services. This position requires heavy use of the telephone to welcome members to our plan; explain plan features and benefits; and enter data as required into a member information database.

Position Requirements: Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience, preferably in an HMO/healthcare company or call center environment. Demonstrated supervisory skills. Previous telephone experience in Call Center and/or managed care setting preferred. Some Familiarity of call center management systems such as advanced call distribution (ACD). Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office) to include Excel and MS Word. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must have excellent telephone, time management, and data entry skills, and be committed to providing excellent customer service. Bilingual (Spanish/English), required.

Current District of Columbia RN, NP, PA or MD (as applicable) license required. 2-3 yrs experience in program administration or staff supervision.
