Prenatal Program

The Healthy Beginnings Prenatal and Postpartum Care Program, which is for expectant mothers, is designed to assist women to have a healthy pregnancy and delivery. The goal of the program is to encourage pregnant mothers to seek timely prenatal care.

Healthy Beginnings Prenatal Program includes:
  • A prenatal packet containing important information about having a healthy baby
  • Assistance and support throughout the pregnancy
  • Referrals to agencies that provide various services such as prenatal classes, WIC, home health nurse visits, and counseling services
  • Information on Health Right's benefits related to the pregnancy

EPSDT

The Health Check Program known as the Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), provides comprehensive health services for infants, children, and adolescents enrolled in Medicaid.?

The Health Check Program provides your child with:
  • Complete physical exams
  • Dental exams
  • Eye and hearing check-ups
  • Eye glasses and hearing aids
  • Blood and urine tests
  • Sickle cell anemia tests
  • Nutritional check-ups
  • Mental Health screenings and treatment
  • Immunizations (shots)
  • Blood Lead screenings
  • Health Education Classes
