From: David Gutwald, Chief Operating Officer DG
Subject: HRI transition after April 30, 2010
Date: April 15, 2010

Attention Health Right Providers:

As you already know, Health Right will no longer be a Health Plan with the DC Department of Health Care Finance effective May 1, 2010. Health Right members are being transitioned to either Chartered Health Plan or Unison Health Plan. Nevertheless, Health Right is still responsible for all services rendered to its members until April 30, 2010 at 11:59 pm and for entire inpatient stays that begin on or before April 30th and continue past that date.

Health Right will remain open and continue to accept provider claims for 180 days for services rendered on or before April 30, 2010. If you are submitting claims electronically through Emdeon (Health Right Payer ID 52201) you may continue to do so as long as the date of service is on or before April 30, 2010, including inpatient stays that continue past April 30th. All claims (including electronic submissions) with dates of service on or after May 1, 2010 will be rejected.

In addition, the mailing address for claims submission has changed. Please now send all claims submissions to:
Health Right, Inc.
P.O. Box 981605
El Paso, Texas 79998

Health Right’s claims appeals process will remain the same. Health Right will accept appeals received no later than ninety (90) days from Date of Check or Denial Date. Health Right will respond to appeals within thirty (30) days of receipt. Please submit a copy of the denial document and copies of all supporting documents to:

Health Right, Inc.
P.O. Box 34310

Attention: Appeals

Finally, the Health Right Provider Relations Department will also be available beyond April 30, 2010 to address any concerns or questions. Please contact us at (202) 218-0380.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
